Nexar Connect

After about 32 months with the Nexar One, I cannot recommend it. I spent over $500 on the system and paid $9.99/month for LTE primarily for connected features like remote streaming and vehicle monitoring. Remote streaming was unreliable even in areas with good cellular reception, and I had contacted Nexar about these problems well before my most recent issue. Eventually, the camera stopped remaining available while my vehicle was parked. I confirmed the Nexar OBD adapter was receiving power, but support ultimately told me the camera’s internal battery was no longer holding a charge. That means an important feature I purchased the camera and continued paying a monthly subscription for became unusable after less than three years. What was most disappointing was Nexar’s resolution: a 15% discount toward buying another camera. After spending more than $500 on the system plus hundreds in subscription fees, asking me to spend more money did not feel like a reasonable solution. The Nexar One has some great features when they work, but reliability matters most in a device purchased for vehicle security. Based on the recurring remote-streaming problems, premature battery failure, and Nexar’s response, I would not purchase another Nexar camera.

Terrible for connecting the rearview camara- it doesn’t show up, and then you have to keep carplay disconnected.👎
