Features & Capabilities

The Eli Hormometer is a first-of-its-kind at-home hormone monitoring system that uses saliva to deliver real-time, longitudinal health insights. It measures cortisol and progesterone, enabling frequent measurements to build a lifelong view of hormonal health. The Eli App scans Eli Test results with a mobile camera, turning data into graphs and scores to visualize history and trends. By highlighting patterns, users can inform lifestyle changes for stress management, workout optimization, sleep quality, metabolism, skin health, and overall well-being across life stages.

The Eli Hormometer is intended for informational and educational purposes only, not a diagnostic tool or medical device, and should not substitute professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. User Reviews

Eli Health is praised for its innovative at-home cortisol testing and ability to track hormone health, with promise as a complement to clinical labs and potential for helpful support. However, multiple reviews cite reliability problems, camera/QR scanning issues, suboptimal data display, and high costs. Overall, it may be a useful supplementary tool if users can tolerate workflow friction and expense.
Pros
  • Innovative at-home cortisol testing that helps track hormone health over time.
  • Bridges home testing with lab testing and aids in deciding when to pursue formal labs.
  • Easy to use with clear setup instructions and a user-friendly experience.
  • Supports tracking cortisol/hormone levels over time with a visually approachable app.
  • Responsive customer support and engagement from the Eli Health team.
Cons
  • Reliability concerns: readings often appear inconsistent across tests and may rely on AI interpretation from photos.
  • Camera/photo capture and QR code scanning issues across devices: alignment, focus, and detection problems hinder usability.
  • Poor data presentation/export: difficulty viewing exact numbers, needing screenshots, and limited data display within the app.
  • High price / perceived low value: several reviews flag the tests as expensive.
  • Usability friction: time-consuming photo capture, alignment challenges, and tedious scanning process.

I am a trained scientist, had no failed tests, and followed the letter of the law. Per Eli I had depleted cortisol and a reason to explain my fatigue. I made an urgent appointment with my PCP who did a blood draw; a result of 2-3 on the device, with all other tests significantly lower, was 9.7 per standard of care blood test. Now I’ve wasted money on these devices, made my PCP think I am an idiot, and am no closer to figuring out my fatigue. Hell of an idiot tax.

Do not waste your money on this garbage. I took a test and scanned the same test multiple times and each time it gave a different score and it ranged from 1 (which would be the lowest I’ve had in my entire life) up to 20. This is just not possible. This platform is garbage. What a scam.

I’m impressed with this company! This test was simple and easy to do at home with both manual instructions or an app to guide.
