User Reviews

VoiceVista is widely praised as an accessible, audio-based navigation tool for blind and visually impaired users. It’s regarded as a strong successor to Soundscape, offering spatial audio cues that improve orientation and independence. Reviewers commend ongoing development, clear voices, and responsive support. However, Street Preview mode remains confusing to access and exit. There’s also a recurring call for better guidance and a more searchable FAQ to help with route simulation and turn-by-turn directions. Overall, VoiceVista is highly valued and continues to improve as an essential accessibility navigation app.
Pros
  • Excellent accessibility for blind and visually impaired users, with audio cues that describe streets and surroundings to aid orientation.
  • Strong replacement for Soundscape; widely praised as a reliable successor and the go-to option after Soundscape's shutdown.
  • Empowers exploration and builds confidence in unfamiliar environments through precise auditory spatial cues.
  • Active development and responsive support, with regular updates and improvements to voices and settings.
Cons
  • Street Preview mode is confusing to access and exit, with users reporting difficulty leaving the mode.
  • Guidance and documentation are lacking; the FAQ is not easily searchable and users want more help with route simulation and turn-by-turn directions.

It is so good application to help in blind voiceover supportable in everything it is good, but unfortunately, this application doesn’t use Camera to recognize building or door or other object like a traffic

I’m enjoying this app a lot so far, and I feel like it will be extremely helpful once I’ve gotten more used to it. The developers are doing a great job. I would benefit from a little more guidance on 1. how to simulate a route that starts at a point other than my current location, and 2. how to trigger turn-by-turn directions. I'd greatly appreciate insight on these issues!

I think it’s pretty good. I’m subscribing in hopes that it will get better. I don’t use it all that much, but I am finding some issues: The FAQ could be better. In particular, it could be searchable… But it also just needs to be expanded and flushed out. Recently, I tried to start up VoiceVista, put it in my pocket, and put in an AirPod. Just my motion of walking kept setting off the shake feature, which I would’ve liked to have disabled, but I could not find out how to do it… And the FAQ was no help.
