Commerzbank photoTAN is a security-focused Chrome extension that adds push and scan-based 2FA to online and mobile banking. Receive a push notification for a new order, review the details in the app, and approve with one click, or generate a TAN by scanning a graphic.

It also enables VideoIdent-based activation with a digital activation window and an SMS code, and includes strict device checks to protect against rooted/jailbroken devices and malicious apps. Consent is required for these security checks, and users can revoke consent by uninstalling the app; offline scanning supports quick offline TAN generation.

It’s infuriating but the developers decided to turn off pasting from clipboard functionality. It’s 2022…just let me paste my password. It’s safer and easier.
