On the sitter side, Rover has always been a pretty bad deal. 20% of my earnings for what exactly? A crummy platform and app that crashes and eats up my battery? And now they want to take 30% of my earnings? I just don’t understand it. Myself and others will undoubtedly be taking our business elsewhere.

We’ve used Rover 3x. Two times with a repeat sitter for our two chihuahuas, who is the absolute best. And once, when we had to cancel suddenly and the sitter reimbursed us. Very satisfied!! Highly recommended!!!

Absolutely ridiculous. They silently raised their service fees to 30% without any warning, and now I'm getting significantly less from the customer for the same amount of work. Using these hidden 'junk fees' to exploit users who rely on this platform is completely unethical. They introduced a sneaky tiered system where you have to clear $600 worth of jobs for a single owner just to get that fee down from 30% back to 15%. This platform used to charge a flat 20%. Avoid this app until they learn to respect their users. Transparency is gone. Do better.
