User Reviews

The app is praised for high-quality journalism and solid navigation on Apple devices, but users repeatedly report major usability problems—login/subscription failures, reliability glitches, pricing and cancellation friction, and concerns about editorial bias. Overall, content quality is strong, but the user experience is marred by technical and policy-related issues.
Pros
  • High-quality, thoughtful journalism with thorough, accurate reporting.
  • Valuable, essential reading that subscribers trust.
  • Easy to navigate with well-organized categories.
  • Good readability and typography on Apple devices, offering comfortable reading.
Cons
  • In-app login/subscription issues and poor support; renewal/cancellation is difficult.
  • Poor app reliability: frequent reloads, ads disrupt reading, and some articles won't open.
  • Pricing issues and hard-to-cancel policies; price inconsistencies reported.
  • Editorial bias concerns; perceived hard-left stance affecting perceived neutrality.

The app description says $10.99 annually, but in the app it’s $34.99 Sign in is also broken for me, and emailing the support address given sends an auto reply that tells me I emailed the wrong address, although they address they tell me to email is the one I emailed

I am a subscriber and have tried multiple times to log in and it has failed EVERY time. I have tried contacting support and get no help. Fix this or give me my money back.

Have enjoyed reading National Review for years. I thought that the app would enhance my experience. Prefer the website.
