Stop & Shop SCAN IT! Mobile

I have been using this app for a long time and would always go to stop and shop over other markets because of this app. Unfortunately for the past few months, the app has been closing after an item is scanned. I reopen the app, resume the shopping trip, scan an item and it closes again. I give up and now go to a different supermarket that isn’t as crowded.

After an item scans the app doesn’t close but goes into the background. When I go back to it, it says “preparing your shopping trip” and that takes a while. Then it asks me if I want to start a new order or resume. After every single item scan. I keep seeing if there is a new version to fix this. I’ve contacted their customer support. No improvement. And I should add I keep trying the app because the self scan guns in the store are horrible. Also heaven forbid they want to do a quick scan on you when you use the app. Guess what? It doesn’t work, so you have to go and get a self scan gun, which doesn’t work. In this day and age I can’t believe how bad their technology is. Not saving me time or money.
