Gmail - Email by Google

I don’t get my Gmail. It is by name for receiving and by name for sending since May 3 2026. My server is not authenticated and my imap is inappropriate and not responding. When I change my 6 different passwords and my cataract eye didn’t work, I’m lost! I have not been successful with my passkey…no recovery of account. I want to and should DELETE my Gmail account, but all of my contacts and information since 2012 is at risk of bring deleted. RevSBaker

Gmail is wildly more user-friendly than Apple’s native Mail app, which somehow manages to make checking an email feel like rummaging through a drawer full of mystery cords. Gmail is clean, quick, and actually makes it easy to find what I need without forcing me to remember whether a message arrived yesterday, three months ago, or during the Paleolithic era. Search works like it was designed by someone who understands that people have jobs and cannot spend twenty minutes hunting for one attachment. Labels, categories, spam filtering, conversation threads, and the overall layout all make managing email feel far less like a punishment. It also handles multiple inboxes without making the whole experience look like a control panel from a submarine. Everything is where I expect it to be, the app does not overcomplicate basic tasks, and it is one of the rare productivity apps that actually reduces friction instead of adding a decorative layer of it. Five stars. My inbox may still be a menace, but at least Gmail gives me a fighting chance.

Miss emails all the time because they get put into tabs like “promotions” there is no easy way to fix this after lots of research. Only can turn it off. Maybe there’s something to do on a desktop but this is an app and there isn’t here so.
