Recent reviews

The insurance rates are great. The app is lame…! You can’t pay early and hit pay early. You can’t set up alerts, which everything with newer technology has (reminder your payment is due on..). And it’s annoying that they don’t catch up with the new technology. This is the only billing company I have that doesn’t… send me an alert close to my bill. Everything that falls behind in the technology world is left behind. I even made a payment and the system had two times where it canceled my plan. This company better catch up they are in like 2002 era with their tech organization. It’s ai and app payments and text updates now. If they don’t good luck…beating your competition. People don’t go for this kind of stuff now with tons of tech issues of paid the bill but the system still canceled or no text updates. The best companies are smart to watch their competition and keep up like Walmart is doing with Amazon. This company sure isn’t even taking a peek at how good other insurance apps are compare to their garbage app.

I love my Shelter Insurance

I had Shelter insurance for 2 years and NEVER missed a payment and then one day Shelter the office people had their computer system upgraded and it had a “payment bug” (they even told me this is what was happening, recorded phone call saved) where if you had auto pay turned on it would charge your card but fail to accept the money and it would make your account go “delinquent” and they would call and then get their payment (same day of failed auto pay) this went on for 3 months and they didn’t get it fixed but on the 3rd month of pay fail in their system they claimed my account was delinquent and they even canceled my insurance contract with them and it was effective immediately so I switched to State Farm and have not had a single issue since and all payments are on time with auto pay enabled. Screw you Shelter insurance for errors on your end and you blaming me for it
