The HomeServe app suffers from reliability and usability issues across reviews. Users report slow performance, frequent crashes, and login problems, plus the app often directs users to the website or to call for service (with 404s). Plan management and billing are flawed, including inability to update payments, add items, or merge addresses, and occasional double billing. Several features users relied on (like MyList item additions) have been removed or degraded. Overall, core functionality is inconsistent and unreliable.

App is slow, buggy, and frequently crashes (including login/log-out issues and 'Oops' errors after updates).
Core service-request functionality is broken: requests often redirect to the web or require calling, with 404 errors or directing you off-app.
Plan and billing problems: cannot update payment methods, can't add items to MyList, merge addresses issues, and double billing/refund delays.
Removal of features that users relied on (e.g., adding new items to MyList) and general regression after updates.

Recent reviews

This app is a complete waste of resources. You log into to app to do anything, especially a service request and it opens the web browser. And you will need to log in again. Once on the web site you think you would be able to request service there but it directs you to call. When you call, the operator directs you to the app.
