Pros

Clear account overview with a summary that shows miles and a Me Points redemption/pay option.
Useful for viewing accounts/transactions and performing PayNow payments.
Transaction alerts/notifications can be helpful when they work.

Cons

Login/OTP issues, especially when abroad, with OTPs not delivered via alternative channels preventing sign-in.
Frequent stability issues after updates (crashes, blank screens) and maintenance during peak hours.
Poor usability and design (hard to paste long passwords, confusing navigation, back button issues, heavy marketing content).
Limited or unreliable core functionality (inability to transfer, manage payees, or deposit checks via the app).
Weak support accessibility and security concerns (long hotline waits, hard-to-find contact info, and reports of unauthorized transactions/complicated chargebacks).

Need to access the app or your account while overseas? Sorry. Can’t help you, says Citi SG. Maybe others have a way of receiving OTPs, but I can’t get them, thus can’t sign into the app. Want to sign in online via the website on your phone while abroad? Sorry again. Can’t help you again, says Citi SG. You get redirected to downloading the app, which of course you can’t sign into because you can’t get the OTP when abroad. Other banks can send OTP via email or WhatsApp. But not Citi SG. I understand security is a priority. But at the expense of being useless while abroad?? Surely there is a better balance.

Easy to use but certain features such as redemption for M1 points still need to go to the website to login.

1. A credit card charge blocked while I was traveling. The fraud protection setting on their cards are set to somewhere between ridiculous and stupid. 2. I have Notifications set to show immediately on my home and sleep screens. But when a block wa placed a couple of card transactions, I received no notifications.
