South Coast AQMD

The South Coast AQMD app is the official air quality app for residents of the South Coast Air Quality Management District, covering parts of Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties. It provides real-time and forecasted air quality for up to 20 locations using a scientifically validated method that blends measurements from regulatory monitors, high-quality sensors, and air-quality models. The app reports concentrations of ozone, PM2.5 and PM10, nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide, with real-time readings, AQI forecasts, and health guidance.

Additional features include an interactive air quality map with over 1,200 locations, a Check Before You Burn status map, open burn locations, and configurable health notifications. Users can submit air quality complaints, access the Alternative Fuel Map, receive announcements and events, view integrated weather, and explore public facility data via FIND. All features are designed to empower residents to understand, monitor, and respond to air quality conditions, helping protect public health in the region.
