Prepware CFI is an affordable, helpful study supplement that many users praise for exam-friendly questions and basic usability. However, content quality and updates are inconsistent, FOI content is sparse and poorly organized, and there is no progress tracking or topic-based study. The app also suffers from UI/readability issues on iPad. Overall, it’s a useful add-on, but not a standalone or perfectly reliable prep solution.

Pros

Good value for money / affordable compared to alternative prep apps.
Useful study aid that helps identify weak areas and focus study sessions.
Questions relate to FOI/FIA and mirror exam concepts, helping users prepare for the real test.
Simple, straightforward usage with offline study capability (no internet required).

Cons

Content accuracy and currency issues: some questions have incorrect explanations or answers, and the database is often out of date.
FOI content is underrepresented or poorly organized (very few FOI questions, not categorized, and sometimes missing).
No progress tracking or scoring: users cannot track study progress, exclude mastered questions, or save their place; interruptions require restarting.
Lack of topic-based organization: all questions are in one large bank rather than grouped by subject areas, making targeted study difficult.
UI/UX/readability problems, especially on iPad: dark mode and color rendering can be hard to read (inverted colors, visibility issues).

Horrible way to learn, just shove all questions into a 270 question randomize folder. Not to mention the spelling and grammar errors. Really dropped the ball on this one. Would not recommend

Questions about the inclination and HCL vs CF give wrong answers or the explanation is incorrect. One question says CF is greater in explanation but example answer figure clearly indicates a greater HCL.
