User Reviews

iAnalyzer delivers a powerful FFT spectrum analyzer with note identification, low-latency recording, and a sleek UI that many users find visually appealing. It excels in feature breadth, real-time analysis, and presentation on iPad/iPhone. However, multiple reviews note reliability problems after updates, compatibility issues on older devices, and requests for missing features (renaming files, WAV import, external mic). Pricing is debated, and some users question measurement accuracy. Overall, it’s strong when stable but inconsistent for some users.
Pros
  • Powerful FFT-based spectrum analysis with note identification and cent deviations.
  • Low-latency recording and playback with the ability to freeze/scan to examine harmonics.
  • Elegant graphics and a visually appealing, practical UI.
  • Strong value for the paid version with feature-rich capabilities.
Cons
  • Stability and reliability problems after updates or with the full version (audio loss, notch-filter issues, features disappearing).
  • Inconsistent compatibility on older devices (reports of problems on iPhone 4s; mixed performance across hardware).
  • Missing features and external input options (renaming saved files, WAV import, USB microphone/line-in, landscape panels).
  • Pricing concerns and perceived value; many call the app expensive.
  • Measurement accuracy issues (high noise floor and scaling/dB inconsistencies).

After having paid for the app with full features in the pre “pro version” past I have lost features due to an “update” download. I'm presently being extorted to pay for features I had paid for and have been deceived into losing. Other than that…

To the developer, since the subscription, There is this strange notch filtering that won’t go away. The app is great when it’s working but this notch filtering renders it useless.
