User Reviews

Users praise DeRemote for Denon/Marantz compatibility, quick setup, an intuitive interface, and good value for money. However, multiple reviews cite recurring connectivity problems, crashes on certain devices, and compatibility gaps with older receivers or specific features. Some also note inconsistent support responsiveness. Overall, it’s a strong, easy-to-use remote when it connects, but reliability and model coverage remain common concerns.
Pros
  • Cross-brand compatibility: works with both Denon and Marantz receivers
  • Easy setup and auto-discovery that finds devices quickly
  • Intuitive, user-friendly interface with useful controls (source menu, zone controls)
  • Value for money: affordable one-time purchase
  • Unobtrusive UI with no ads
Cons
  • Connectivity and discovery issues: some users cannot find or connect to receivers or fail to configure via IP
  • Stability problems: crashes or freezes on opening or on certain devices/iOS versions
  • Compatibility gaps: older or some models not listed or not detected; IP/manual configuration can fail; zone 2 recognition issues
  • Feature gaps/bugs: limitations with certain features (Dirac controls, station changes) and occasional bugs like muting when the iPad is set down
  • Mixed or slow developer support: reports of unresponsive contact attempts alongside praise for support in other reviews

Can not find my AVR 2313ci even after seeding the app with the IP and confirming the IP responds to http into the receiver's internal server. I expected this app to read the receivers configuration but it can not even find it.

I own a Marantz SR7015 and this app doesn’t even load. Can’t even get far enough to connect to system. I off loaded it and reloaded it several times. Please advise if there is anything that can be done.
