So I just removed this app from my phone because it’ll have a headline story up and no sooner than I start to read the first few words, it switches the tile to something else. Three seconds after looking at the tile, only to bury the story so far down in the app that you’re scrolling and hunting, looking for the story that caught your eye. Well guess what NBC News, your app is no longer on my phone because your bait and switch algorithm sucks. You’re more worried about clicks and scrolling engagement than allowing somebody to read the news that is readily available literally everywhere. Keep your app keep playing the metrics games where you’re more worried about contact than people actually reading your content and your app will die just like many others. You wonder why your readership is falling off and more people don’t pay to subscribe.
