Features & Capabilities

CLZ Games: Collection Database is a Chrome extension that helps you catalog your video game collection and amiibo. You can scan barcodes or search the CLZ Core online database by platform and title to automatically pull cover art and game details, including release dates, publishers, descriptions, and daily pricing from PriceCharting. You can edit all details, upload cover art, and organize your library into multiple collections. It supports flexible views, sorting, and cloud sync across devices.

Organize your library with ease and keep it up to date with automatic pricing, cloud backup, and a 7-day free trial of the paid subscription (US $1.99/mo or $19.99/yr).

User Reviews

CLZ Games is repeatedly praised for its user-friendly interface, fast barcode entry, and a robust feature set for large collections. Reviewers cite PriceCharting price data, cloud sync across devices, and strong customer support as standout benefits. Recurring concerns center on the subscription model, perceived cost, and gaps in the database (notably board games and non-US/EU releases). Some updates affect search results or cause price-ID glitches. Overall, it’s powerful, but value depends on data completeness and willingness to subscribe.
Pros
  • Easy to use layout with powerful organization options for large collections.
  • Barcode scanner speeds cataloging.
  • PriceCharting values integrated into items.
  • Cloud backup and syncing across devices.
  • Strong support and regular updates from responsive developers.
Cons
  • Subscription pricing can be a barrier; some features require a paid plan.
  • Search performance can suffer after updates, returning many results.
  • Database coverage gaps, especially for board games and non-US/EU releases.
  • Occasional data bugs or price-ID mismatches and cloud sync hiccups.
  • Perceived value concerns when data or price data is unreliable or incomplete.

Love this app. I’ve tried so many different apps, but this is the one I stopped at and stopped using the others. Love the layout, the options, and most of all the ease of use! I am 54 with thousands of games in my collection! I have tested it, used it, and highly recommend it!

I have a fairly large and diverse game collection and I choose to use CLZ Games app because it finds almost everything I add, even the odd 80s stuff or wacky Japanese imports, it integrates PriceCharting values into each game, has cover art, nice sorting, barcode reading for quick scanning and a ton more. Plus it’s well supported. I don’t mind paying for a subscription if it means the app is continually getting updates as our smartphones evolve. Highly recommended

“Grandfathered in” can’t look up game prices or add new games, even manually, without prompts stating this now requires a subscription. Dev essentially had me pay for a spreadsheet application. Used to be a fantastic app, now wants $20 a year
