User Reviews
Pros
- Juni AI recovery coach is empathetic, helpful, and versatile (answers questions, supports meal planning, and coping strategies).
- Strong community with peer support and progress sharing that motivates recovery.
- Educational, evidence-based lessons about how the brain and urges work that help users understand and change behaviors.
- Practical, in-the-moment tools for urges and emotions (grounding, breathing, coping steps, meal planning).
- Viewed by many users as a valuable supplement to therapy and recovery when traditional coaching isn’t accessible.
Cons
- Onboarding/signup friction and occasional glitches that block new users from accessing the app.
- Pricing/paywall with no free trial or easy way to test features before committing.
- AI coaching can feel repetitive or generic and may lack deep personalization for complex needs.

Is it a magic bullet ? No. But it’s a perfect companion for someone who feels lonely and misunderstood in their recovery. It’s really well tailored for binge eating disorder and bulimia (most apps that I found so far were more about anorexia) and the AI coach is extremely helpful. Lots of insights and informations inside too, that you might already know but that is always useful to review. They have a small community sharing part, I can feel like it’s still developing and not at full potential yet but it’s in a good way. I sincerely appreciate the low yearly price that keeps that app affordable for most of us who can’t afford to spend $$$$ on a coach or recovery program. Sometimes I don’t use it for a while and sometimes I reach out for it everyday, but knowing that it’s here feels reassuring. I paid for it the price I would pay for a book, and it does much more than that for me.
Of course it’s not a magic wand, you have to do the work yourself but you already know that. Thank you for the developers of this app and I hope they will still offer it for the same price for a long time. Thank you so very much

You download the app and go through the motions of making an account and the survey to personalize, but there is no free option with limited resources, a free trial to test out the app and see if it helps or even a monthly option, it’s directly a 39.99 yearly subscription pay wall so you’re stuck either deleting the app or going ahead to try it… and if it were to really help, I would, however I can’t even see what is offered so why would I commit so much money to this app? I’ll try it again someday if they change their mind and offer a free trial or at least a lower cost monthly subscription.

I was really excited to see that there was an app out there that could help me. Once I downloaded the app and went through the initial process of making an account and going through the intro, it wouldn't let me go on without having to pay a ridiculous price.
I thought I had finally found something that was going to help me break free, but was then forced to either decide to pay or delete the app. There wasn't even a free trial option and there was barely any information on how the app works. How am I expected to pay that extreme subscription price without even knowing what I'm paying for?
It's really disappointing that such an app thats supposed to help people with eating disorders is just using their disordered and vulnerable users for money.
