User Reviews

BeMe is praised for its teen-focused, privacy-conscious, all-in-one platform offering mood check-ins, coaching, and a library of coping resources. Users value its engaging design, the teen advisory board, and the accessibility of tools (diary, videos, mindfulness). However, recurring concerns include paywalls restricting coaching access, frequent account/login glitches, and variable content quality with calls for more clinical depth. Some users also cite accessibility challenges for screen readers and occasional bugs that affect usability. Overall, BeMe is seen as a helpful entry point to mental health resources but not a substitute for therapy, with room for reliability improvements.
Pros
  • Coaching availability and mood-check-ins provide a supportive, therapy-like experience with personalized activities.
  • Teen-focused design backed by a Teen Advisory Board, privacy safeguards, and content relevant to youth.
  • An all-in-one platform with diaries, videos, coping tools, and interactive mindfulness content.
  • Engaging, visually appealing interface that has been praised by teens and even some adults for accessibility and usefulness.
Cons
  • Paywalls or subscriptions limit access to coaching and some features.
  • Frequent login/out, sign-up, and account stability issues reported by multiple users.
  • Content sometimes perceived as superficial or not sufficiently clinical.
  • Accessibility and reliability issues for screen readers and some features not fully accessible.

This is a mental health app made to just help people. It works, and it’s a one of a kind. I’ve tried a lot of apps and support groups but this is everything I truly needed in one place. Well done!

After reviewing BeMe, I would give the app a rating of 4.5 out of 5. BeMe stands out as a great platform that balances privacy, playfulness, and clinically informed resources. It is shaped by a Teen Advisory Board, which ensures that the app remains relevant and responsive to youth culture (How Are Teens Involved in Building BeMe?, 2025). One of BeMe’s greatest strengths is its usability. The app is intuitive, offering mood check-ins, personalized activities, and access to supportive media in a format that fits seamlessly into the mobile use habits of adolescents (Laser & Nicotera, 2011). Unlike traditional therapy, BeMe allows for quick bursts of engagement, which is more relatable to teens who are used to that with apps like Instagram and TikTok. The app is visually appealing and uplifting without being overwhelming, which helps reduce barriers to engagement (Laser & Nicotera, 2011). Privacy is also prioritized through plain language policies, which comply with child privacy regulations (BeMe : Trust & Safety at BeMe, 2025). The interactivity is developmentally appropriate. Teens can shape their experience through sharing moods or engaging with a coach, which reflects the growing need for independence and coping tools (Laser & Nicotera, 2011). Despite these strengths, the app has some limitations. It requires a consistent internet connection, and video content may consume significant data, which could pose barriers for adolescents from lower-income backgrounds (Laser & Nicotera, 2011). It does not replace therapy, but it serves as an accessible entry point for support. Yun
