User Reviews

Topps Total Football appeals to serious collectors with its engaging card-collecting gameplay and access to rare/numbered cards. However, it suffers from crashes, poor odds, slow support, and a clunky UI/market experience. Users also report inconsistent freebies and redemption/purchasing frictions. Overall, strong collector appeal but reliability and UX issues hinder the experience for many.
Pros
  • Engaging card-collecting gameplay that appeals to football/soccer fans.
  • Strong access to rare and numbered cards, making it valuable for serious collectors.
  • Excellent for users with large card collections; highly valued by heavy collectors.
  • Overall positive sentiment and willingness to recommend among a subset of players.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and performance issues, including after updates.
  • Very poor odds and pack rewards; perceived as gambling with duplicates and low-value returns.
  • Slow or ineffective customer support with account problems and data loss in some cases.
  • Clunky UI/market navigation and limited deck slots; deck-building and market UX need improvement.
  • Reliability gaps in features like daily freebies, QR code redemption, and printing payment options (PayPal-only).

I think the game would be quite good as it is. I don’t love the pay to play aspect, but that’s how most all mobile games are set up. My biggest warning is on how unstable the game is. For the past year, the majority of matches will crash the app, freezing my phone or iPad in the process. I have newer devices, and I’ve even upgraded my devices during that time. Still - many many crashes. The developers do not seem intent on fixing this issue, and unfortunately that ruins any enjoyment with the game. I’d otherwise give the game 4-5 stars for what it is. I played casually and competitively prior to the past year. It’s just a bit of a shame.

The match aspects I find mediocre. The collecting is fun. The actual app stability is horrible. Crashes constantly for me (iPhone 17).

App is so buggy that it doesn’t even add gold that you purchase. I deleted the app and redownloaded it just to see if the gold I bought is added after that and the whole app acted as if I’m a new user. Just adding insult to injury. What a major inconvenience…
