User Reviews

Reviewers consistently praise Lungy for its calming visuals and easy-to-use interface, along with a broad library of breathing exercises. The app’s clean design and soothing vibe are frequently cited as helpful for focus, sleep, and anxiety, with teachers and individuals noting its educational value. The one-time purchase is viewed as good value. Some concerns include organization/navigation clarity and a few UI feedback nuances (e.g., exhale pacing) that aren’t universally noted, but overall users rate Lungy highly for aesthetics, usability, and practical breathing tools.
Pros
  • Visually appealing, calming design with engaging animations and soothing music.
  • Simple, intuitive, easy to use and navigate, with a clear onboarding flow.
  • Wide variety of breathing exercises (box, 4-7-8, alternate nostril, etc.) and breathing visuals.
  • Proven versatility: useful for focus (ADHD), sleep, anxiety, and classroom use; helps users feel relaxed and mindful.
  • Perceived good value: one-time purchase option and strong aesthetic justify the cost.

“Squishy” is bad. During the exhale phase, there’s not a clear indication of the pace you’re going for. The white horizontal bar purports to go from the bottom of a square to the top, but the shape of the square changes during exhalation, and the bar suddenly jumps to the top of the square, immediately going to the “hold” phase.

I love the visual feedback, the simplicity, and the overall soothing vibe of the app. The visual feedback is especially helpful for people w ADHD to help them stay focused. I also like the one time purchase option. Things that could be improved: you can’t start an exercise from the favorites list. When creating a custom exercise, selecting the different sounds should cause it to play those sounds so you know what you’re choosing. There should be a way to provide feedback to the developer within the app. Also, I find the organization of the app confusing. There’s so much overlap between the first two sections.
