User Reviews

Users report that Chipmunk is inconsistent. Many say bus locations are often wrong or delayed, estimated arrival times are missing or inaccurate, and the app sometimes fails to open or stops working when it is needed most. Notifications are frequently late or false, and route changes and replacement buses are often not reflected. A few users find the app helpful and accurate when it works, and one praises its GPS. Many parents say the app creates more frustration than reassurance and do not recommend it for school bus tracking.

Pros

  • Useful and helpful for knowing when the bus will arrive when it works
  • Real-time tracking gives parents peace of mind and saves time in the mornings
  • Some users say the app is reliable and always on time

Cons

  • ETA is often missing, inaccurate, or unavailable
  • Bus frequently shows 'Bus Driver Not Reporting' or displays the wrong bus
  • App is unreliable, freezes, goes down, or fails to open when needed
  • Location updates are delayed and notifications arrive late or falsely
  • Route and student information changes do not update correctly
