User Reviews

Users praise Widget Web 26 for turning any web content into customizable home screen widgets with snapshot capability and ongoing updates. They value its flexibility, ease of setup, and reasonable Pro pricing, and appreciate responsive development. However, recurring concerns include paywalled premium features with little trial access, limited widget sizes (especially on iPad), subpar UX design, lack of in-widget interactivity, and occasional stability issues with updates or cropping.
Pros
  • Very useful for turning any web content into Home Screen widgets with snapshot capability and broad customization.
  • Extensive customization options and a smooth, polished interface.
  • Useful for staying updated with information by pulling data from the web (weather, stock, news, dashboards).
  • Affordable Pro price; 'forever' Pro version is reasonably priced.
  • Developers responsive and actively add features (e.g., Dark Mode, new URL schemes).
Cons
  • Premium features are paywalled; core functionality and updates require premium; limited trial.
  • Widget size and display options are limited, especially on iPad; cannot resize as desired.
  • UX/design could be improved; misaligned text and confusing onboarding.
  • Widgets are not interactive; they display pages that open externally; manual refresh not freely available.
  • Update/refresh can be unstable or cause crop/lines issues; occasional bugs.

This is a GREAT find, but the widget sizes are too limiting for iPads. Wish a larger square option existed!

This is just the sad state of the world but any minorly useful feature is paywalled, even opening the webpage rather than the app itself when you tap the widget. Webpage updates at more than daily frequency are paywalled.

It’s exactly what I was looking for years.
