User Reviews

FasLink X reviews are mixed. Many users find the app simple to use and capable of basic fault-code retrieval, and some report easy initial setup with FasLink hardware for standard scans. However, multiple reviewers cite significant downsides: unreliable Bluetooth connectivity (with Wi‑Fi reliance in many cases), live data and protocol detection problems, limited vehicle/VIN support, frequent crashes in live mode, and unresponsive customer support. Overall, it may meet basic needs on select hardware but is inconsistent and unreliable for broader vehicle coverage or advanced features.
Pros
  • Easy to use and simple setup.
  • Fault-code retrieval works for basic diagnostics.
  • Works with FasLink hardware for basic scans (e.g., FasLink M2).
  • Initial connection to the dongle can be straightforward for some users.
Cons
  • Bluetooth connectivity is inconsistent or fails; some users only see the device on Wi‑Fi.
  • Live data and protocol detection are unreliable or often fail/crash.
  • Limited vehicle/model/VIN support; not all cars are supported.
  • App instability: frequent crashes, freezes, or locks during use (especially in live mode).
  • Poor customer support and onboarding (slow or no responses; weak documentation).

I been using it some atleast 4 years now and it works perfect for what I need it for. The codes are true to the devices knowledge. It found my problems on my 08 gmc Yukon saying #5 coil was bad and after replacing it fired perfect. And it also is showing other codes that I know for a fact need changing but yea ish work good. Also I used It in my brother 2025 Honda and helped others figure their problem out
