User Reviews

Overall, Sheet Music Reader Halbestunde is valued for fast, easy scanning of sheet music and its potential to aid learning and practice. However, multiple reviews highlight persistent barriers: a subscription-centered model that hides free use, payment/login friction, and the need to pay to listen; plus unreliable scanning results and gaps in instrument coverage. The app is helpful but with notable entry and reliability issues.
Pros
  • Strong sheet-music scanning/conversion from photos or PDFs with quick results.
  • Educational value; helps users learn songs and improve playing.
  • Generally easy to use and provides a supportive experience for practice.
Cons
  • Subscription-based model that locks listening and many features behind a paywall.
  • Payment/setup friction and upfront charges (credit card trap and 7-day free model).
  • Account creation required to listen, adding friction.
  • Unreliable scanning results: wrong notes, incomplete digitization, or white-screen failures.
  • Gaps in instrument coverage (no harp option, missing percussion/bass elements; organ not included).

The app did a decent job scanning but a couple printouts had some weird hallucinations. App is not bad

Nothing is included at the free tier. Very disappointing, and unclear upon initial purchase.

I love this app because I really do need the since I’m in hs and it makes it so much easier like I really do understand it would be cool if I didn’t have to pay but the app has to make money some how and I do think it’s worth paying for
