User Reviews

Reviewers love the game’s core concept and say the digital version is a fast, fun, and faithful adaptation that supports matchmaking or AI and includes a helpful tutorial. However, reliability is the dominant theme: frequent bugs, lockups, and serious multiplayer synchronization problems hinder progress and often prevent completing games. DLC/expansion purchases are also problematic, sometimes needing repurchase or failing to sync across devices. Many reviewers urge QA improvements and faster, consistent updates. The title has strong potential for GoT fans, but its current state makes it a risky buy.
Pros
  • Fun, engaging adaptation that speeds up gameplay compared to the physical board game.
  • Challenge mode is enjoyable and the tutorial helps new players learn mechanics.
  • Online play is supported via matchmaking or AI for solo or multiplayer.
  • Visually appealing with a faithful board game feel when it runs well.
  • Strong appeal for strategy board game and Game of Thrones fans.
Cons
  • Frequent bugs and crashes, with games getting stuck or freezing, especially in online or async play.
  • Multiplayer synchronization issues leading to out-of-sync results, stuck turns, or players being kicked.
  • Expansion/DLC problems: some purchases don’t sync across devices or require repurchase.
  • Perceived lack of QA and slow or incomplete updates, leaving many bugs unresolved.
  • In-game chat and lobby reliability issues disrupt play and require frequent re-joining.

I would like my money back

I want to like this game, but there are parts of the map that literally won’t let you select units to move. They will get placed off of the map and you then cannot make use of them. The whole aspect of the game is was too close and makes it really difficult to view what’s going on and literally impossible to select or move units on certain parts of the map. Super frustrating.

Charging money for this is criminal. It works less than half of the time, and any time you can play through entire round is a miracle. The game constantly gets stuck, and the only reliable way for the game to continue is for a player to forfeit. Horrible experience. Just horrible.
