Tactics of War is a medieval strategy card game for 2–4 players. You are a rival lord building armies, fortifying castle walls, and striking at opponents — but every attack comes down to the roll of the dice. Protect your King at all costs. Capture enemy Queens. Breach walls with battering rams. Eliminate rival kings until only one lord remains.

A game of strategy, bluffing, and luck

Each turn begins with a single draw from a shared deck. Will you place a Footman or Archer into your army? Build a Wall to shield your forces? Or play an Attack or Capture the Queen action immediately? Every card forces a decision — and your opponents can see most of your battlefield, except the special cards you keep hidden.

Combat is resolved with a six-sided die. Footmen fight in close quarters with high damage but real risk. Archers strike from range and can man your walls for a defensive edge. Army Commanders unlock devastating Declaration of War and Invasion assaults. Assassins, Health Potions, and Battle Rams add surprise twists that can turn the tide in a single turn.

Build your battlefield

Every player commands a visible layout: walls in the back row, footmen and archers in the middle, your King and Queen at the front, and hidden special cards on the flank. Walls block attacks until destroyed. Units placed from a fresh draw enter dormant — they cannot fight until your next turn. Reading your opponents’ layouts and timing your strikes is as important as the cards you draw.

Win the war

Eliminate an opponent by reducing their King to zero health. When a lord falls, captured Queens pass to their conqueror. The last King standing wins.

Two ways to play

On Device — Pass & Play Gather around one iPhone or iPad. Set up a 2-, 3-, or 4-player game and pass the device between turns. Perfect for game night, travel, or teaching friends the rules.

Online — Play Anywhere Create a private room and share a six-character code with friends, join a room by code, or jump into Quick Match to find opponents automatically. Choose WAN play through the game server or LAN mode when the host device runs the match locally. Sign in with a free account, and resume interrupted matches when you return.
