User Reviews

Users praise Blueberry for 24/7 access, time/money savings, quick prescriptions, and supportive doctors, especially for newborns. However, repeated concerns focus on potential misdiagnoses from virtual assessments, limits of not having in-person tests, inconsistent app reliability, slow/unclear response times, and customer-service issues. Overall, it’s valued for convenience and emergency avoidance but carries safety, reliability, and support risks that appear across multiple reviews.
Pros
  • 24/7 access to pediatric care with quick response times
  • saves time and money by avoiding urgent care or ER visits
  • prescriptions can be sent to the pharmacy quickly and remotely
  • convenient for busy families and newborns, with easy-to-use app
  • knowledgeable, compassionate doctors who follow up and provide reassurance
Cons
  • perceived misdiagnosis or unsafe virtual assessments, with concerns about AI-driven conclusions
  • inability to diagnose or treat certain conditions without in-person tests (e.g., UTIs, strep tests)
  • app reliability issues (video uploads sometimes fail, notifications bugs, appointments getting deleted)
  • unclear or slow response times with no guaranteed eta for doctor contact
  • customer-service problems including account-closure threats and poor handling of complaints

No idea what kind of experience others have had but this is a LIFE SAVER for our family. Tons of avoided urgent care visits, amazing doctors, and simple to use. It seems like if you don’t do a visit it takes forever and also it’s annoying how hard it is to find messages for a specific kid or visit but still definitely great.

The impersonal, inattentiveness, and misdiagnosis of the 2 “visits” we’ve had are the reason we will not be continuing or recommending blueberry. It’s CLEAR AI is used and that the doctors do not actually look at anything. This is extremely dangerous. Please look for 24hr triage lines to call before using this app. #1. Ear pain, sleeplessness, head tilting. Redness in ear canal. Pictures and video included - Said it’s a behavioral problem, and I should essentially let her cry it out. -Went in person, she had an ear infection. #2. Itchy Rash on both feet, no where else. Over a week. Pictures included. -TWO “doctors”said HE had a scrape…. - SHE had athlete’s foot.

Where to begin - I’ve been using Blueberry for 3 years since my son was born, and probably called and chatted with them about 18-20 times. Each and every experience we’ve had with their doctors has been great, they take the time to hear us out that our own pcp doesn’t. We’ve gotten prescriptions for some issues, but what sealed the deal for me was when my son was 18 months old. we were looking for support for breathing issues, and they told us to go in. I was annoyed because I was hoping to avoid an ER, but they were right: my son was admitted to the hospital for RSV. It’s very likely Blueberry saved his life. Another time, Blueberry caught a really nasty eye infection early and we were once again recommended to go to the hospital. The doctors there said that if we had waited there could have been irreversible damage. My kid is going to have Blueberry for life!
