Overview

Features & Capabilities

Undermyfork is a simple food diary with glucose trends for people with diabetes. Take pictures of your meals and discover how your choices of food, insulin dosing, and exercise impact your Time-in-Range. It auto-syncs glucose data from Dexcom or any glucose monitoring system that shares data to Apple Health, and you can also add glucose measurements manually.

For clinicians, healthcare teams and telehealth providers: Undermyfork Care is the platform that gives endocrinologists and care team members access to analytics around patients’ daily logs of meals, glucose, insulin dosage, exercise, and other lifestyle factors. Supported CGMs include Dexcom G6/G7 and Abbott FreeStyle Libre (with MiaoMiao or BluCon), plus a broad list of compatible glucose meters. Learn more at undermyfork.com.

User Reviews

Users praise its ease of use and the all‑in‑one capture of meals, insulin dosing, and CGM data, plus photo-based meal logging and clear color-coded insights. Recurrent drawbacks include inconsistent CGM connectivity (notably with Libre), limited history (about 30 days), and UI gaps such as unclear data entry, missing features (Apple Health export, daily carb counts, insulin type notes, correction logging), and insufficient setup guidance for Dexcom.
Pros
  • Very easy to use and quick to log, reducing the burden of diabetes management.
  • All-in-one data: meals, insulin doses, and CGM readings with color‑coded time‑in‑range indicators.
  • Photo-based meal logging with auto‑timestamped entries, making meals easy to record.
  • Strong Dexcom CGM integration and data‑driven insights for dosing decisions.
  • Responsive support and ongoing improvements based on user feedback.
Cons
  • CGM integration is inconsistent across devices (e.g., Libre) and sometimes lacks clear setup/instructions for Dexcom.
  • Desire for longer data history and easier access to past glucose and meals (beyond 30 days).
  • Data‑entry UI can be tricky to time or log carbs accurately and lacks guidance for features like insulin type and corrections.
  • Missing features such as daily carb counts and exporting to Apple Health.
  • Need for more UI guidance and documentation on how to use Dexcom and other integrations.

You are left to figure out carbs and stats of the food

I've tried many different apps and none of them were very simple to use or charged exorbitant amounts of money. This is my new favorite app. It does everything perfectly. It'd be nice if it had a daily count of carbs and insulin used or send that information to apple health for tracking. It'd be nice to know but I can recommend this app enough.
