I have struggled with addiction since I was about 11 years old. As I’ve gotten older, my addictions have changed from marijuana usage and drinking to leading up to shooting up heroin and meth. Where I currently live addiction is everywhere. It’s so bad a problem that the system just seems easier just to keep putting them away just as soon as they get back out for doing the same thing. And then problem is if you are able to get treatment and you had to drive a far distance to see the doctor because the town where I live in, no Dr wanted to mess with any of the medication treatment. And then if you can get all that the last thing was insurance, if your insurance didn’t cover it, and you had to pay for it, which was super expensive. And then on top of that they say it’s best to be with a counselor when you take this type of treatment someone that can help navigate with you and help you adjust, especially if you knew. This is a no judgment zone. Everyone is super friendly for the ones out there that really struggle with addiction and that need medication that helps them to stay clean like I had.
