Features & Capabilities

Getting treatment for opioid addiction can feel shameful or scary. Groups Recover Together brings the core components of the program—treatment with medication (Suboxone), weekly group therapy, and support services—into a virtual environment.

With the Groups Recover Together app, you can participate on the go or from home, connect with counselors and physicians to manage your care, and join weekly group sessions with peers who understand what you’re going through. A one-hour weekly commitment can help you get your life back, whether online or at a Group location. Download the app to get started, join meetings, or manage your care plan.

User Reviews

Groups Recover Together is praised for its convenience and supportive clinical team, and many users credit it with real, life-changing recovery while managing processes from home. However, repeated technical issues, login problems, and a sparse feature set hinder daily use. Users also report disputes around test results and discharge decisions, plus concerns about billing and customer support. The core message: the app shows strong potential and meaningful impact, but reliability and user experience still need substantial improvement.
Pros
  • Convenience and mobile-first recovery: manage tests, meetings, and uploads from your phone with a home group.
  • Access to caring doctors and counselors who genuinely support users.
  • Significant positive life outcomes and sobriety due to the program.
  • Consistent home group and strong community support.
Cons
  • Persistent technical issues and reliability problems: crashes, camera/photo upload failures, care plan glitches, and updates breaking features.
  • Login and account access problems: trouble logging in, password resets, emails not arriving.
  • Limited feature set and rough user experience: few tools beyond basics, no journaling/calendar/messaging.
  • Disputes about test results and care decisions: instances of misreported results or discharge decisions.
  • Billing friction and weak support: credit-card requirement to download and reported poor customer support.

Recovery at this point feels like another money grab. Maybe it’s just where I live but it’s literally impossible to get help

I was with work it health at first & then out of no where they quit taking my insurance & didn’t even write me a script to make it til I found another provider. Groups came up in my newsfeed shortly after & after speaking to someone I had an appt the next day & was able to get my meds. Everyone that works there is great. They go above & beyond to help you & they even have someone that can contact you with resources if you are say homeless. I love my group. It’s only 1 hour a week. I go on Tuesday 3:30 pm - 4:30pm & I usually am bummed when it’s over cuz I enjoy it so much. If you’re trying to get off opiates & are interested in suboxone therapy I highly recommend groups recover together. The are hands down the best!!!
