User Reviews

SleepOn is praised for its rich, granular sleep data and raw data exports, with multiple users noting no subscription is needed to access the data. However, widespread issues limit its usefulness: inconsistent sleep-stage accuracy, frequent data gaps and sync problems, buggy app/firmware behavior, disappointing customer support and refund experiences, and declining battery life. Overall, it can be a powerful sleep-tracking tool when it works, but reliability and service concerns appear in many reviews.
Pros
  • Very detailed sleep data (REM, light and deep sleep) and movement metrics.
  • Access to raw data with easy export to CSV.
  • No ongoing membership or subscription required to view data.
  • Comfortable wearable form factor and solid hardware/data collection when functioning.
Cons
  • Sleep stage tracking is unreliable and often inaccurate.
  • Frequent data gaps and data loss due to disconnects and syncing issues.
  • App/firmware bugs and UX problems (calendar/date bugs, graphs not zoomable, login issues).
  • Poor customer support and refund experience.
  • Battery/charging reliability problems over time.

Until this latest "upgrade" this device really helped me. It showed my heartrate all night long and the spike and dip times that showed I had nocturnal hypertension. This new version is garbage. It shows a high and a low with nothing in between and no times. Just sad to see this outfit get so lazy.

Lots of sleep data
by JJ*****, 2025-10-01

After using this for close to a year I’ve decided that it’s only good as an alarm clock. It never registers any deep sleep. Says I’m awake when I’m not, ie., says I was awake 2 hours when I clearly wasn’t. All of the information besides sleep stages are absolutely meaningless. Sleep stages is the only parameter that matters and this device never gets it right. I have another sleep tracker that disagrees every night. I do like the Biological Clock. I use it as my alarm clock. That works really well.
