The product cleans well. The app is horrible- I never can get it to connect. This would be a terrific product if you could get the app to work correctly or give options for scheduling cleaning without the app.

5/14/26: well, for some years now, we have repeatedly provided feedback requesting the we be able to change the default cleaning mode and duration, or simply default to the cycle we previously selected. Any capable software developer would be able to code this in a day, or a week, tops. Other feedback we have provided is that it seems the manual steering function seems to rely on the Maytronics servers who knows where, rather than just locally over the WiFi network between the app and the device. The result is a lag of about 5-6 seconds between initiating a turn, and actually executing the command. That makes it basically useless. It might work great in their local facility where the server is on the network, but it is useless anywhere else that probably relies on communications satellites and latency to connect to the server. Useless. 11/27/22 It seems many of the reviews are for the Dolphin, robots themselves, not MyDolphin Plus app. I’ll make a brief comment about the device itself at the end, but this review is about the app. The primary reason we purchased a robot with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability is so that we could control the device remotely. The Wi-Fi allows us to monitor the progress, start or stop the robot while we are away from home. That is important to us because we are off grid, and we need to be able to manage the use of electricity in case we’re not getting sufficient solar, and we don’t want to be depleting our batteries prematurely. The Wi-Fi function allows us to do that from the app. We also wanted a robot with an “ultra fine” filter. I found the installation and WiFi setup to be straightforward without incident. We like the way the app reports the progress % for the cycle, and tells us what time it will complete. Interestingly, yesterday it stopped with an alert and a comment ,“The robot seems to be out of the pool“! Sure enough, when we got home, we found the robot sitting at the top of the steps. This taught me that I need to make sure that the robot isn’t sitting at the bottom of the steps when it starts. What would be helpful in the app is to actually send a Notification to the phone to indicate a situation like that. My one complaint so far with the app is trying to set a schedule. I set a cycle start time of 10 AM, and when I check, it instead it has set it at 6 PM. It has done this repeatedly, and there seems to be no way to have it actually register the start time that I specified as a start time. If I’m doing something wrong, it’s because whatever appears to be intuitive, and how to use it, isn’t. This is fundamental to the app control. Now my comment about the hardware we only just received the device we have. I’m not pleased that the company refers you to Amazon to order their product because they don’t sell direct. Nonetheless I ordered it on Amazon end it arrived three weeks later. I was a little uncertain when I open the box, because I ordered a dolphin Nautilis cc supreme, but what I received was labeled Dolphins Sigma. Have you ever tried to return a product through Amazon to have it replaced by the product that you actually ordered? Apparently you can’t. Your only option is to return it for a refund. So after a couple of days of contacting Amazon, customer support, the seller, customer support, and Maytronics customer support, I was given the option to try the Sigma and return it for a replacement if it didn’t meet my needs. Interestingly, when I opened the app and found history button, I learned that the Sigma (not the product order to begin with) had previously been used for a month, and about 35 cycles, and then shipped to us as new. That issue with the Seller is still to be resolved. Nonetheless, the Sigma device does do a good job of cleaning, it’s just not what we ordered.
