User Reviews

Users praise SharkClean for remote control, mapping and scheduling, and status updates, but reliability issues are common. Recurrent problems include connectivity breaks after updates, mapping/region configuration bugs, persistent login/server glitches, an outdated UI, and awkward management of multiple robots or naming. Overall features work, but reliability and UX need improvement.
Pros
  • App provides remote control of the Shark robot, including room-specific cleaning and whole-house scheduling.
  • Mapping and scheduling features work well and the app can show progress; spot-clean is useful.
  • Real-time status updates when the robot is stuck or needs assistance.
  • The app is easy to use for basic tasks (initial setup and routine cleaning).
  • The robot generally follows paths set in the app and cleans effectively.
Cons
  • App connectivity can break after updates, preventing the robot from connecting.
  • Mapping and region/configuration issues; region detection or mapping loss can stop setup or operation.
  • Frequent login/authentication friction and server issues (repeated logins, loading loops, room layout deletion).
  • App usability is outdated and not very user-friendly according to some reviews.
  • Difficulties managing multiple robots (switching) and naming-related disconnects (spaces in the robot name).

The robot vacuum’s volume setting resets itself daily within the app, which is quite annoying. I have to open the app every day to turn the volume up. Other than that, I think it’s great!

When I first set up my shark it worked great. Then it got hung up on something when I wasn’t home and the battery died. After I put it back on the dock, it would no longer register. I’ve tried multiple times to set it up again and it still won’t work. It’s very frustrating!

Robot vacuum/mop seems fine so far, but the app is very limited. Seemingly no way to program/learn more than one floor. Editing map floor plan is very limited. No live view of what has been mapped or vacuumed. No history of when it’s been run or what it’s done. App is very limited. But if you just want to run it and forget it without the app then you may be satisfied.
