I’ve had this Roborock for about three weeks now and when I first set it up, it mapped my house, but it continually goes to the same few places over and over again constantly gets stuck under the lounge chair. Currently as I’m writing this it’s staying in one spot. Literally. Paused it and checked the roller and there is nothing in it so I don’t know what the heck is going on, but I’m disappointed. I feel like I have to constantly troubleshoot it. You buy something that’s hasslefree and it’s constantly a hassle. Disappointed.

I was pretty surprised that my brand new robo vacuum is so much worse in all aspects than my previous one which was 5+ years old. It doesn’t seem to “learn” the very simple/uncluttered layout of my home, it misses many areas completely and spits out massive amounts of grit and dust every time it hits the edge of any mat or rug. Basically useless, I gave it a few weeks but will be returning it.

This is a great little cleaner but it does have a couple downsides. First of all if it gets stopped for some reason it forgets the schedule it is on. I have learned that after it restarts it’s best to manually select rooms you want cleaned to finish the job. Otherwise it will do a full cleaning which brings me another downside. It’s not very efficient in cleaning and will make several trips back to the dock to clean the mops and recharge the battery. I’ve learned that you have to give it smaller jobs to make the battery last. But it still returns to dock to clean the mops and then proceeds to the next room. The pattern it follows makes it inefficient. It makes several short passes that doesn’t fully cover the room The Roomba was much more efficient by traveling the entire span of the room. I do like the cleanliness it provides. It’s a great machine but could use some improvements.
