User Reviews

User reviews show a largely negative sentiment toward the SCHUBERTH Apple app. A minority note workable Mac OS connections and firmware updates, but most reports highlight macOS compatibility problems, frequent bugs/crashes, poor support, a troublesome update process, and inconsistent Bluetooth status. When it does function, updates and QR pairing can occur in limited scenarios, but reliability and assistance are common concerns.

Pros

QR code pairing in the app works and is appreciated.
On some Mac OS configurations the app connection to the helmet and SC1S units works and the Mac firmware updater is easy to use.

Cons

Mac OS compatibility issues across OS versions (e.g., Big Sur and newer) prevent the app from recognizing headsets.
The app is buggy, unreliable, and frequently crashes or fails to connect.
Poor or non-existent customer support and difficulty contacting Schuberth/Sena for help.
Firmware update process is convoluted and unreliable, often requiring additional apps or steps and sometimes USB not recognized.
Bluetooth connectivity status is inconsistent (the app reports not connected even when the device is connected).

Recent reviews

If this doesn’t work and you have the Sena on your Schuberth and can’t get it to work with any Schuberth app or data support on your computer (especially Apple). I have a Sena program on my Apple and I opened it up to update my Wife’s Shoei built in helmet Sena headset. I went ahead and plugged in my C5 with the Sena app and it worked much better to update the firmware. Go to Sena.com and download there update program and it might work for you too.

It is hard for me to understand the arrogance of some product manufacturers today who think that everyone carries a laptop around with them...ON A MOTORCYCLE, BICYCLE, etc, etc. It's a MOBILE WORLD and this is a Mobile App that should/could have easily incorporated ALL of the device software update features that are currently only available on Windows or macOS. My iPhone and iPadPro are more powerful computing platforms than most of the desktop/laptops on the market and yet Schuberth/SENA give us windowed-BAT-files. On a positive note, at least the QR Code Comm pairing in this app works and is appreciated. But, how about the ability to just touch on one of the paired Comm's in my list to initiate a Comm Session?!?!? You know, big icons on a screen of "Paired" devices - one touch to activate a Comm session.
