User Reviews

Overall, reviewers love Hex Commander for its replayability, diverse factions, strong multiplayer, and polished visuals. The main recurring downsides are technical and monetization issues: ongoing multiplayer connection problems, startup crashes after updates, and intrusive ads with IAP expectations. Some balance frustrations about overpowered mages and challenging boss battles also surface. Despite these, the game remains highly regarded, with many players replaying for years and hoping for more campaigns or content while developers address the technical and monetization concerns.
Pros
  • Highly replayable and incredibly engaging; players report years of enjoyment and repeatedly starting over.
  • Strong variety with multiple races/factions and campaigns, plus a solid multiplayer mode.
  • Excellent graphics and satisfying unit animations/close-ups.
  • Well-designed gameplay and mechanics; overall quality and devs did a great job.
  • Long-term appeal and positive community sentiment with demand for more content.
Cons
  • Multiplayer connectivity issues (cannot host or join sessions, frequent failed connections).
  • Crashes at startup after updates.
  • Intrusive monetization: heavy ads and pay-to-win/IAP concerns; would prefer an ad-free paid version.
  • Balance problems in certain battles (mages are OP, boss/undead chapters are very hard).

Started game on pc have done a lot there. When I sign into my cloud save account on iPhone it shows my correct info but doesn’t actually load my game, starts at tutorial then first mission. I actually spent real $ in game which I rarely do. I hope there’s a solution for this
