User Reviews

Bitwarden on iOS is valued for security, open-source trust, cross-device syncing, offline vault availability, and the free tier. Common drawbacks across reviews are iOS login problems and occasional synchronization issues between devices, with some reports of update-induced login failures.
Pros
  • Open-source, trusted security, and a generous free tier
  • Cross-device syncing across iOS, Android, and Windows with autofill and support for iPhone passkeys
  • Local vault copy/offline access plus data-protection features like breach checks
  • Widely regarded as reliable and strong value in password managers
  • Comprehensive feature set (password generator, breach checks, password health) without forcing premium
Cons
  • Frequent login/authentication errors on iOS (e.g., 'An error has occurred' or 'password incorrect')
  • Sync delays or failures between desktop and mobile
  • Occasional update-related issues where the app stops accepting the master password

App works great but stop promoting for dumb reviews like this one

I like using Bitwarden, but sometimes it's buggy on picking out the password for websites and it's very slow to sync between different devices

I have several times had the app be able to fill some fields but not others (i.e. “confirm password” fields) and then when the app shows a preview of autofill password i can see and select the website set i want to fill from but not click the extra 3 dots to “copy username or password” so i can do it myself. I need to exit the browser and find the field myself which takes a minute and like five clicks. It’s right there! But when i click the website it just tries and fails to autofill. Other than this very specific gripe i have loved it
