User Reviews

Users praise Slyder's deep customization and feature set, but cite pricing friction, missing autocorrect, stability issues, and a controversial feedback policy as major drawbacks.
Pros
  • Extensive customization: top-row options, custom rows, number row, fonts, and font menus.
  • Improves typing experience vs. the stock iOS keyboard and addresses several common frustrations.
  • Powerful feature set beyond basics: clipboard tools, fonts, number pad and quick-access menus.
  • User-friendly for large fingers and praised for layout flexibility.
Cons
  • Heavy monetization: many features require premium subscriptions, in-app purchases, and paid fonts.
  • Lack of autocorrect: reviewers repeatedly say this core feature is missing and they'd pay for it.
  • Stability bugs and performance issues: crashes with certain symbols, lag, and occasional auto-switching to other keyboards.
  • Controversial politeness/feedback agreement: some users view it as childish or off-putting.
  • UI clutter and ads in the top bar: AI features and ads feel intrusive, with removal often tied to paying.

Once your free trial ends ad pops up at the top of your keyboard and it's the most annoying thing you'll ever see. It takes up so much space.

In a lot of ways this is a good keyboard app with a lot of smart and useful features, but without any sort of spell check I just can't recommend it, especially not as a subscription fee. A subscription for a keyboard is ridiculous. You are not providing an ongoing service, it's literally just a piece of software. It should be a one time fee then you own it. They could add 1000 more features, but with no spell check it will never be worth paying a single cent for, let alone a subscription.
