User Reviews

Reviews praise the breadth and clarity of the bodyweight library and Al’s motivating coaching, with high‑quality animations and variety across abs, full‑body, and zero‑equipment routines. The app is valued for its affordability and progress tracking. Recurrent downsides include a lack of updates and iOS compatibility issues, requests for Apple Watch support, and a desire for more guided starting points and structured routines.
Pros
  • Comprehensive, scalable bodyweight library with progressive levels and multiple sections (abs workouts with beginner to advanced, 101 Workouts, zero‑equipment routines)
  • Clear, engaging animations and instructions; Al Kavadlo’s motivating coaching helps users stay consistent
  • Rich content with warmups, assessments, and built‑in progress tracking; extensive routines and premium access
  • No/equipment‑light workouts that are portable and suitable for travel or workouts at home
  • Excellent value for money; abundant content and coaching at a comparatively low price
Cons
  • Not updated recently and shows maintenance lag, leading to compatibility issues on newer iOS versions
  • No Apple Watch app and users repeatedly request watch integration and better cross‑device support
  • Guidance/structure could be stronger; some users want more starting points and guided routines instead of choosing workouts at random

Hey, hey, hey! I’ve been using this app for years. Not always as consistently as I should, but now that I find myself a single father of two young boys, getting to a gym is much less of an option for me. So like always Al and his app are there for me. It’s a great app, simple and effective, with nice touches, like a count down timer for holds and hearing Al say “Hey, Hey, Hey, we’re working out.” lets me know it’s go time, almost a Pavlovian response by now. Thanks Al for always being there for me through the years. Hope you’re doing good, wishing you peace and love brother.

What I like most about this app is the Abdominal Workout section. It’s separated in three levels. They are beginner, washboard, and Ultimate abs levels . ( I do this workout at the end- very effective!). 101 Workouts section is also another gem. If you cannot do pistol squats, muscle ups, and or pull ups-This section has a remedy! And finally the Zero Equipment Section, just follow the workouts and move through each level of difficulty and bam!! You are going to change your body. The app also includes Daily routines, 5x5 workouts, Fun workouts, 100 reps workouts, warm ups, assessments and human flag training. The application also has an exercise library that explains how to execute each move and of course, you’ll get pushed through your workout by Al. Now for the negative ( only 2 things ) of this app, well only one negative. (1) this app will not tell you where to start. Because each section has a certain goal. You just have to pick one section and follow through each workout (2) pay attention to the color next to each workout within each section . You can find this info in the assessment section. Blue for Novice, Green for beginner, Yellow for intermediate, Orange for advance, and red for elite. So what I do to remedy these 2 issues, (1) remedy is to start with warmup section first, then assessment section( if your new and want a starting point, revisit this section to gauge your fitness level), zero equipment section is the best place to get a foundational strength. And then you can venture out to the other section for variety. (2) remedy is to pay attention to the color designation to each workout within each section. Each section will have a workout list that is color designated- they are accurate accordingly to difficulty. Otherwise , this application and information is worth your time and money!

I never write reviews or rate apps. But this app is outstanding. For only $7 you can have unlimited premium access. It walks you through all stages of calisthenics from beginner to advanced. The app is responsive, easy to follow, motivating, and tracks your workouts. There are plenty of routines to switch things up. And it really works. I feel sore after completing a circuit and can see progress every day. I cannot recommend it enough.
