User Reviews

Reviewers repeatedly praised Lifeline: Silent Night for its emotional storytelling and Taylor-driven plot, strong continuity with the Lifeline series, immersive atmosphere, and accessible features like larger fonts and location tagging. The game is lauded for its writing, cliffhangers, and value, with many fans eager for sequels. However, several critics cite slow pacing due to lengthy dialogue, and some report narrative coherence issues—missing content or a railroaded path that can confuse players. A few also feel endings aren’t fully explained. Overall, it’s a compelling, emotionally charged experience marred by pacing and consistency concerns.
Pros
  • Emotionally engaging storytelling with a strong, relatable connection to Taylor that makes players care deeply about her.
  • Strong continuation of the Lifeline series with rich world-building and setup for future installments.
  • Atmospheric audio design, including an eerie soundtrack that heightens tension and immersion.
  • High-quality writing with memorable moments, compelling dialogue, and satisfying cliffhangers.
  • Accessibility features like adjustable font size and on-screen labeling of Taylor’s location enhance readability.
Cons
  • Pacing can be slow due to lengthy dialogue and long waiting periods between actions.
  • Narrative coherence can feel inconsistent or railroaded, with content that may be skipped or misaligned depending on choices.

Very short and wraps up before it really gets going. It ends up feeling like a trailer for a game rather than an actual full-length one. This is basically a filler episode.

I love how the developers added this amazing storyline and how it ties into the main game. If you are a player that has not yet played the original, I would highly suggest playing through it in November, then in December or January play this! The soundtrack is so good and eerie, which helps build the tension as you navigate the ship to help Taylor escape. I can’t wait to play the next one and the newer one in the series, please, keep making these as I want to learn more about the Greens and the space force that exists in this game. 5 stars no questions asked.
