User Reviews
Pros
- Nostalgia and faithful homage to the classic Wizardry, appealing to long-time fans.
- Simple, portable interface that plays without heavy graphics, making it easy to use on the go.
- Appreciation for the effort to bring Wizardry to mobile and the overall concept appeals to fans.
Cons
- Frequent freezes/crashes across menus and during gameplay that prevent playing.
- Ad-supported model causing performance issues and overall frustration; many want an ad-free paid version.
- Significant bugs that block progress: character creation can fail, and item/shop identification can crash the game and risk losing progress; saving/restoring also unstable.
- Localization/readability issues: misspelled item/spell names, fast combat narration that’s hard to read, and lack of in-game documentation.
- Occasional game quirks like characters disappearing or excessive teleporters further hinder navigation.

I couldn’t even create a character. It would pull up the keyboard to name the character but just as quickly the keyboard disappeared and it backed out to the Training Grounds menu.

I played the original in the early 1980’s on my family’s Apple II+. It took me forever to complete the first game- proving grounds of the mad overlord. When I finally did it was very satisfying. My father, doing a nice thing, got me the next installment ‘knight of diamonds’ for Christmas. Wow, great I thought! It allowed/required you to play the first game to port the characters that survived the first game to play the second game. Sounds cool, but I lost interest in the second game shortly after starting it. I had become burned out on rpg’s as a teenager. Luckily, back then, just about everyone still played sports in real life. And I would eventually return to Wizardry and other rpg’s. Your game is a nice trip down memory lane for me. Thank you very much for making this game.
