The game is an old school RPG which is translated from Japanese version. Thus the translation is off but understandable and shouldn't be concern. The game control is a bit awkward but bearable. Once you get used to it, there shouldn't be a problem playing the game. There is not much of story line. Usually you need to go into deeper map. Once you are stuck and can't go further, look around the last map you can go for an event item. You may need to use the event item at a certain spot of the map to pen up the path. Late in game, you will get ore which makes shop in town selling better items/gears including MP potion (Spirit Medicine). You could get any item from a chest anyway. The deeper you go, the higher chance you get better items from treasure chests. You can remodel (enhance) your equipment 9 times using orbs. You could remove orb or export what you have enhanced to another equipment, but it will cost you gold. Watch out though, the better equipment, the higher cost to enhance. You can change your character job once you get the character job level to 20. All skills obtained from job leveling will remain with the character. Job level max at 50. Sadly, character level is max at only 50. Thus you would need to grind for skills from job. There are more hidden jobs but you must get certain jobs to certain level in order to unlock them. Hidden jobs have better base stats than based jobs plus new skills. Overall the game depth is deep and I enjoy it even though it requires a lot of grinding time. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves classic JRPG. It requires patience and some thinking in order to progress through the game. I give it 5 stars!

Other than the English translation being a little quirky it's great way to spend some time.
