User Reviews

Reviews are mixed. Many users praise AdGuard for Safari for blocking ads and improving browsing, with a usable free tier and affordable paid perks. However, several repeatedly report inconsistent blocking, ads still appearing on certain sites or video ads, and issues with licensing, activation, and support. On iOS, Safari extensions can be disabled, and some users note a lack of cross-device compatibility. Overall, it can improve browsing, but reliability and support are common concerns.
Pros
  • Blocks most ads on Safari across many sites (banners, popups, cookie notices)
  • Easy to toggle on/off and manage, user-friendly
  • Free version works and premium perks are affordable
  • Improves browsing experience by reducing ads and interruptions
Cons
  • Blocking is inconsistent across sites and ad types; some ads still get through
  • Premium features don’t always guarantee blocking; some users still see ads after subscribing
  • Support and licensing issues; reports of slow responses, activation problems, and unhelpful support
  • Safari/iOS-specific issues; extensions can be disabled/greyed out and cross-device compatibility is poor

Does a very poor job of blocking, e.g.“use google account to sign in”among many others. Although it does block some most unwanted get through. In my opinion do not purchase save your money this app is not worth it!! Thanks for reading!
