User Reviews

Many reviews praise Stockpile’s kid-focused investing concept and its potential to teach financial literacy. However, recurring issues dominate: unexpected membership fees, frequent login/account access problems, lackluster customer support, and reports of missing funds or transfers/closures without notice. Some reviews also note custodial accounts being moved to other platforms. Overall sentiment is strongly negative due to financial and access problems, despite appreciation for the idea behind Stockpile.
Pros
  • Beginner-friendly and kid-focused investing concept.
  • Helps teach kids financial literacy and savings.
  • Simple, straightforward concept for saving/investing when the app is functioning.
Cons
  • Forced or poorly disclosed monthly membership fees with difficulty canceling.
  • Widespread login and account access issues (login failures, 2FA obstacles, editing banking info blocked).
  • Poor and unresponsive customer support (phone lines unavailable, emails ignored, no live representatives).
  • Reports of missing funds, withdrawals delayed, and accounts being transferred or closed without notice.
  • Custodial/child accounts being mishandled or converted/transferred to other platforms (e.g., to Stash).

I think they have stolen their money because they are just using AI to solve customer issues and AI will not Race result in issues

The number don't work can't login somebody took my funds so I lost a lot of money with them. Nobody will get in touch with me. Won't even answer back emails or nothing. This is some type of scam I've been with them for years and now my money is all gone.

I’m the custodian of my child’s Stockpile account. When I just tried to access it, I learned that Stockpile has shut down and transferred the account to Stash. I did not receive any prior notice.
