Features & Capabilities

SeatBoost is a Chrome extension that lets travelers upgrade seats through live, last-minute auctions or instant purchases. Starting 24 hours before your flight, you can check eligibility, join the live auction for your preferred cabin or buy an upgrade outright, and bid for yourself or your traveling companions. You only pay if you win, and winners receive the upgrade and a new boarding pass automatically at auction end.

SeatBoost currently supports Avianca, Condor, Iberia, LATAM, and TAP Air Portugal, with more airlines coming soon. For questions, visit seatboost.com/contact-us, and review how your personal data will be used at www.seatboost.com/privacy-policy/#purposes-for-which-we-will-use-your-personal-data.

User Reviews

SeatBoost users like the app’s ease of use and strong value, with many reporting affordable, successful upgrades and helpful support. Yet repeated technical problems (out-of-date prompts, end-of-auction errors) and auctions that do not deliver upgrades (or charge without providing seats) are common complaints, along with misallocated or poor-seat results. In short, the app can offer great upgrades at good prices, but reliability and billing issues seriously undermine trust.
Pros
  • Easy to use and convenient
  • Very good value for upgrades / affordable upgrades
  • Strong customer support with knowledgeable staff
  • Successful upgrades to business/premium economy at a fraction of the usual price
Cons
  • Frequent technical issues and reliability problems (out-of-date prompts, end-of-auction errors)
  • Auctions often fail to deliver upgrades; no winners; users are charged without receiving seats
  • Seat allocations can be poor or misallocated (bad seats, forced changes)
  • Refund and billing hassles when upgrades don’t materialize

On 4 Oct 25 I downloaded the SeatBoost app. When I opened it the first option was “Alerts” (of course I want them) then, after selecting “Allow” the next screen indicated that the app was out of date. Not sure how an app I just downloaded for the first time could be out of date. I deleted the app and tried again. Same thing. In concept it’s a good idea, in reality it’s not functional. Good luck to others who try to use the software.
