SeeRobots: Convenient Meta Robots Information Displayer

"SeeRobots", is a Chrome extension specially designed to help users instantly keep track of the meta robots attributes of the website they are currently viewing. It translates the 'index, follow', 'noindex, nofollow', 'index, nofollow', and 'noindex, follow' attributes into a visual, color-coded format in the browser bar. This makes it convenient to understand a page's indexing setup at a glance.

gr8!! used it for 7 years now...

Loved this, but it now interferes with some websites working. Don't use it!
by Dave Collins, 2024-06-25

Since the last update, this plugin loads the page twice every time. That causes trouble on login pages that create login tokens for user session (on every page load). A new page reload will generate a new login token for a current user session while the user still has the first token on the loaded page. When a user tries to submit a login, it will send the first token from the loaded HTML form, and that token is not valid anymore since the second page reload (made by this plugin) generated a new token. The problem is in content.js on line 37. let resp = await fetch(window.location.href, {method: "HEAD"});
