Photoshop-like guide lines for any page

guideLinr: Photoshop-Like Guides for Any Web Page

guideLinr is a feature-rich Chrome extension that allows users to create persistent horizontal and vertical guide lines on web pages, akin to Photoshop. It provides flexible customization, offering several different colors for the lines, which users can change any time via a context menu. Additional features include an integrated distance measurement tool, the ability to reposition guides through dragging or arrow keys, and a 'Snap to Element' and 'Snap to Grid' feature for accurate guide alignments. The guidelines created are persistent and remain visible in subsequent visits to the same URL.

Extension summary

guideLinr provides rich, Photoshop-like guidelines for any page on the web.

With guideLinr, you can create vertical or horizontal guidelines that will persist by URL. If you visit Google today and add guides, tomorrow they'll be back when you return. Right click on any element to add guides on any edge (top, right, bottom, left, or all).

There are several different color options available, and the color of guides can be changed from the rich context menu available on each guide.

There is an integrated distance measurement tool that shows distance between your guides as you move them. The measurements are now sticky so you can see them wherever you scroll.

guideLinr guides can be dragged with your pointer, or moved with your arrow keys for more precise alignment. Hold Shift while you press arrow keys, and they move faster.

There's an optional "Snap to Element" feature to help align guides to your elements while dragging. There's also a "Snap To Grid" feature that helps create or align guides to a grid of your choosing.

Doesn't work on file URLs. It doesnt not have the option: Allow access to file URLs.

Удобная штука. Позволяет устанавливать линии и вычисляет расстояние между ними

Like others, at first I thought it wasn't working (probably due to its age), but as the reviews were informative: to make it work with a web page you had open before installing the extension, you just have to refresh the page. Works like a champ and very useful!
