Gmail URL Paste Firefox

Gmail URL Paste

Automatically convert selected text to hyperlinks when pasting URLs in Gmail and Google Calendar.

Features & Capabilities

Convert selected text into clickable links when you paste URLs in Gmail and Google Calendar.

How it works:

  1. Select text in a Gmail compose window or Google Calendar event description
  2. Paste a URL from your clipboard
  3. The selected text becomes a hyperlink pointing to that URL (Tada!)

Benefits:

  • Saves you time to manually open link formatting dialog
  • More similiar behaviour to apps you already use (e.g Slack, Notion, etc.)

The extension doesn't store or collect any data. The code is publicly available on https://github.com/wirtzdan/gmail-url-paste
