Bad Connection Simulator is a Chrome extension that simulates poor connectivity to help you get off unnecessary video calls. This tool offers 3 levels of impairment: none, moderate, and severe. It can be used with any web-based video calling application, including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Facebook Messenger, Google Duo, Jitsi Meet, and Whereby. The user just needs to join the call, click the icon, choose the impairment level, and then tweak it throughout the call. Bad Connection Simulator executes realistic impairments directly to the source video stream, thereby avoiding any adaptive adjustments by video conferencing apps. It's essential to use it from Chrome or Edge, and without activating the virtual background feature.
